This major revisiona of the world's best-selling textbook on physical chemistry has concentrated on making the material more accessible. The extensive art program of earlier editions has been completely redone with a systematic use of a second colour. The subject has never before conveyed so visually. The text has also been thoroughly revised. Several major reorganizations have been made, including bringing the kinetic theory of gases forward into Chapter 1 and combinig all material on surfaces into a single chapter. Within chapters, major innovations of this edition are the use of Justifications and MOlecular interpretations.
