SHARPE'S TIGER

An experienced young private in his Majesty's service, Richard Sharpe is part of a military expedition to India to push the ruthless Tippoo of Mysore from his throne and drive out his French allies. By posing as a deseter, he hopes to penetrate the Tippoo's city, avoid a well-laid trap, and make contact with Sharpe a sergeant, failure will place him at the mercy of the evil despot's brutal executioners - or worse still, his hungry, man-eating tigers.
