Sinopse
This book proposes an introduction to drama using a specially simplified version of Macbeth. The story itself contains many elements which will appeal to children: the supernatural, ghosts, witches, mystery and adventure in general. Shakespeare often daunts teachers as well as students, but this new, fun approach should help keep prejudices towards ?difficult? literature at bay. The book includes preparatory exercises for diction and mime to create - self-confidence and dramatic awareness, an introduction to the life and times of Shakespeare, plus a brief study of the traditions and history of Scotland. Analysis of the main characters and the plot provides the basis for creative writing and improvisation, whilst more traditional exercises covering the four skills give the opportunity for team work, pair work, individual study and complete class co-operation in a final performance.
